As Mother’s Day draws closer, I’d like to acknowledge that this day is not joyous for everyone. For some, it may not feel like a celebration at all. ❤️🩹
Families exist in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes our loved ones, like our mums, are with us, and sometimes they are not. Sometimes we are close and sometimes we are not. Sometimes, someone else in our immediate family or even in our chosen family, steps up to help us feel cherished, safe, supported and loved.
Maybe you know a family who have recently joined together, a family where mum works or lives far away, a family of two mums or a family where someone has taken on the role of a mum or carer?
‘Some Families Change’ is a children’s book that acknowledges and honours all kinds of families. On Mother’s Day, we are sending all families our love and support. We hope you can give someone you love a big squishy hug! 💖
